Privacy Policy

We collect as little as we can get away with: enough to take your money, send you the product, and answer your email. This page says exactly what that is and who else touches it.

1Who controls your data

Nyansa Studio, registered in Ghana at Accra, Ghana, is the data controller for the personal data described here.

2What we collect

Purchase details. Your name, email address, country, and the product and tier you bought. Where you buy as a company, its name and any tax identifier you supply.
Email address and source. If you sign up for a free download or the mailing list, we store the address you gave, your confirmation of it, and which page or resource it came from.
Correspondence. Anything you write to us by email, and our replies.
Server logs. Our host records standard request data — IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser user-agent — as part of serving this website.

We never see your card details. Payment information goes directly to our payment provider and is never transmitted to or stored by us.

We run no advertising trackers and no third-party marketing pixels. Our analytics are cookie-free and aggregate: page views and referrers, with no profile of you behind them.

3Why we hold it, and on what basis

To perform our contract with you — delivering the product, issuing your licence, handling refunds and providing support.
With your consent — sending the emails you asked for. Every one carries a one-click unsubscribe, and you can withdraw at any time.
To meet legal obligations — keeping transaction and tax records for the period the law requires.
For our legitimate interests — keeping the website secure and available, preventing fraud, and keeping a record of who holds which licence.

We ask you to confirm your email address before we send you anything, and we do not send marketing email to anyone who has not confirmed.

4Who else processes it

We use a small number of third parties. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.

Polar — merchant of record. Processes the payment, issues your receipt, handles sales tax and VAT, and delivers your download and licence key. Polar and its payment processors hold your billing details.
Vercel — hosts this website and generates the server logs described above.
Our email provider — stores the mailing list and carries correspondence between us.

These providers operate internationally, so your data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union, under the safeguards those providers have in place. We do not sell your personal data, and we never will.

5How long we keep it

Transaction and licence records — for as long as the law requires us to keep financial records, and for as long as your perpetual licence remains valid, since it is the record of what you are entitled to.
Mailing list entries — until you unsubscribe, after which the address is removed.
Email correspondence — up to three years, so we can pick up a support thread you started.
Server logs — retained by our host under its own schedule, typically weeks rather than months.

6Cookies

This website sets no cookies of its own and runs no cross-site tracking scripts. Fonts are served from this domain rather than from a third party, so loading a page here contacts no one else.

The checkout is hosted by Polar on its own domain and sets whatever cookies are necessary to process your payment, under Polar's privacy policy.

7Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to another provider. You may also withdraw consent where we relied on it.

Email codewave@nyansastudio.com and we will respond within 30 days, free of charge. We may need to confirm your identity first.

One limit worth stating plainly. If you ask us to delete your purchase record, we will — but that record is the proof of your licence. Once it is gone we cannot confirm what you bought, reissue your download, or support a licence dispute in your favour. Keep your own copy of the receipt.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you may complain to the data protection authority where you live.

8Security

We keep the data we hold to a minimum, access it only where needed, and rely on our providers' encryption in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data and the law requires it, we will notify you and the relevant authority without undue delay.

9Children

This is a business product sold to developers and companies. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.

10Changes

We may update this policy. The version date is shown at the top of this page. Where a change materially affects how we use data we already hold, we will email affected customers.
